I have dabbled in about every form of aristry, like stain glass, painting, metal work, and sculpting since childhood. Nothing has fascinted me more htan a warm invgiorating feeling uou get from mother nature. Trees have a way of maintaining its nature beauty and character while entangling itslef into the craftsmen envisions.
I like to use my life's experiences with other forms of material like sains, dyes, colors, metals and various types of inlays when working with wood. I begin by mentally envisioning the piece and then sketch any required processes on paper. Roughing out the piece is probably my most favorite part, this is where man and naure comes together, and the piece transforms the mans envision into its own natural characteristics. Lastly, I finalize details needed for completion.
My art is meant for others to experience by seeing and touching the personaliy of mother nature. Allowing the wood to stimulate their senses. It's my hope that people will experience warmth and beauty nature can bring to their lives, while bring a smile to their day :)
